Yoga Therapy

Through exploration and developing an understanding of your body and mind, yoga therapy can help guide you down the path to self-healing.

What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is a profession that takes a holistic approach to health and healing. It includes a variety of practices such as yoga positions and movements, meditation techniques, mindful breathing, anatomy education, and more. These various practices can be tailored to address the different physical, mental, and emotional struggles that you may be experiencing. You and your Yoga Therapist will work together and use evidence-based yoga tools to guide you towards your optimal well-being.

How does it differ from Yoga?

While yoga is an ancient tradition that has been around for thousands of years, Yoga Therapy is a relatively young profession. Although they may use similar techniques and practices (movement, meditation, breath, etc), Yoga Therapy involves a one-on-one detailed discussion about your concerns and goals. Unlike a standard yoga class, this allows the Yoga Therapist to help you develop a practice that is tailored to your specific needs and empower you on your journey towards self-healing.

What does Yoga Therapy help with?

Healthy Aging – ostoporosis, arthritis, balance and fall prevention
Mental Health struggles – anxiety, depression, PTSD, and insomnia
Neurological Issues – stroke, MS, Parkinsons, and TB
Illness Support – cancer, diabetes, heart disease, long-COVID
Chronic Pain/Dysfunction – persistent back/neck pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue

OVERALL WELL BEING!
